Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Active role in deconstructing electronic components
Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures
Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques
Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems
Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary
Required Qualifications:
Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field
0-1 year of experience working with electronics components
Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics
Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics
Prior experience with Ionizing radiation safety and handling per DOD guidelines.
Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety
Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team and engage with technicians, scientists, and engineers
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
2- or 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology
2-3 years of experience working with electronics components
Active Secret Clearance
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment
Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials
Compensation Details:
$65,000-$95,000
